Transit Visa

If you are traveling through Uzbekistan to another country, you need to have a transit visa to Uzbekistan.

In order to obtain a transit visa, the following documents must be submitted:
  • A printout of completed visa application form
  • valid passport (not a photo copy)
  • one passport-size color picture
  • valid visa to the country of destination
  • confirmed round-trip airplane ticket
  • visa fee
All entries must be typed or printed in Uzbek (Russian) or in English. Incomplete visa applications are not accepted. A personal interview with an applicant may be required.

In case any person is declined to obtain transit visa to Uzbekistan, the Consulate General reserves the right to provide no explanation. If application is declined, visa fee is non refundable.

If you wish to send documents for processing by mail, please enclose a self-addressed return envelope of one of the following postage services: FedEx, UPS, Priority and Express Mail. Using other envelopes may delay the correspondence. Please be advised that the Consulate does not send documents via U.S. Certified Mail, U.S. Registered Mail, DHL, Airborne Express and PuroLetter of Canada.

Depending on the place of residence applicants should submit their documents either to Uzbekistan Consulate General in New York or to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington, D.C. To learn to which office you have to apply, click here
