Islam Karimov Earns 88,1% of Votes - CEC
According to the preliminary outcomes of elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov has earned 88,1 percent of votes.
It has been announced at the briefing for local and foreign mass media held at 18:00 hours Tashkent Time at the Central Election Commission Press Center on December 24 this year led by the CEC Chairman Mirzo-Ulugbek Abdusalomov, the report by Uzbekistan National News Agency has said.
According to preliminary outcomes of elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov has earned 13 million 8 thousand 357 votes or 88,1 percent, Asliddin Rustamov has earned 468 thousand 64 votes or 3,17 percent, Akmal Saidov – 420 thousand 815 votes or 2,85 percent, Diloram Tashmukhamedova – 434 thousand 111 votes or 2,94.
