Premiers of Uzbekistan and China sign documents in Tashkent
Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with Premier of the State Council of China Wen Jiabao in Tashkent on Saturday.
The two premiers considered issues of expansion of economic and humanitarian cooperation between Uzbekistan and China.
A Joint communiqué was signed between the governments of Uzbekistan and China.
The sides also signed the memorandum of understanding in environmental protection and intergovernmental agreements on technical and economic cooperation and the project on Treatment and Surgery Center in Tashkent.
Other signed documents include the memorandum of understanding between the Uzbek Finance Ministry and Chinese Ex-Im Bank, credit agreement between Uzpromstroybank and Ex-Im Bank of China, contracts on the projects on improvement of meliorate state of lands in Ferghana and improvement of water supply in Ferghana region, electrification of Tukimachi-Angren railway line and the framework contract on delivery of 150,000 tons of cotton fiber to China.
