Adolat Party of Uzbekistan Nominates Dilorom Tashmuhamedova for President

IV Convention of the Adolat Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan held on November 3, 2007 nominated the first secretary of the Political Council of the party, Mrs. Dilorom Tashmuhamedova to run for presidency in the forthcoming elections.

Delegates of the Convention said that Mrs. D.Tashmuhamedova has made a big contribution to the consolidation of the Adolat party position both in the society and parliament. According to them she is a leader who can represent the interests of the party and electorate with dignity in the presidential elections.

They stated that the elections will become an event of a political importance and a test for all political parties, in particular for the Adolat party.

The delegates decided to nominate Mrs. D.Tashmuhamedova as a party candidate to run for president in the forthcoming elections.

Mrs. D.Tashmuhamedova is the first secretary of the Adolat Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan and the head of its group in the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis - Uzbek parliament. She was born in 1962 and has four children; she is a candidate of medical sciences.

The Adolat party has about 60 thousand members and 1700 primary organizations all over Uzbekistan. It has 10 MP in the Legislative Chamber.

It needs to be reminded that the presidential elections will be held on December 23, 2007.
