Fidokorlar nominates its first secretary as presidential candidate

Fidokorlar Party of Uzbekistan approved decision to nominate first secretary of its Central Council and head of fraction at Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis Ahtam Tursunov.
The National-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Fidokorlar held its session in Tashkent, UzA reported on 30 October.

The report said the session also considered election programme of Fidokorlar party at the presidential elections, which will take place on 23 December 2007.
In line with the decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Uzbekistan, five official parties are eligible to attend presidential elections.

Initiative group of voters nominated director of National Human Rights Center and MP Akmal Saidov and the CEC gave green light to participate in elections.
