Preparations To The ‘Sharq Taronalari’ International Music Festival Is In Full Swing
Preparations for the “Sharq taronalari” traditional 6th international music festival is now underway in Samarkand. The “Sharq taronalari” international music festival, which is in Uzbekistan since 1997, serves for increasing the fame of rich and unique music culture of the Uzbek people and strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation among different cultures.
Within the framework of the festival more than 1200 singers and musicians from about 70 countries all around the world have visited Samarkand and demonstrated their masterly skills. Year by year the number of participants is increasing.
According to the directorate of the “Sharq taronalari” international music festival, the 54 countries are going to participate in the forum this year.
The representatives of such countries as Canada, Kenya, Lithuania, Slovakia, Sudan and Tunis are reported to be going to participate for the first time in “Sharq taronalari” Festival. This fact also witnesses of that the authority and prestigious of the festival is in growth.
The festival will be held on the eve of the 16th anniversary of the Independence of Uzbekistan and concurrently along with the 2750th jubilee of Samarkand. This fact is the main feature and originality of the current festival. At the moment the large-scale works on the preparations to these dates are held in Samarkand. In particular, all conditions have been creating for participants and guests of the festival.
This year more than 3000 people are expecting to take part in the festival. Besides, above 20 artistic groups, people-loved-actors, singers and musicians will once more demonstrate all the richness and variety of the Uzbek national music.
