The Asian Development Bank is keen to expand cooperation with Uzbekistan
The Delegation of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) headed by Mr. Patrick Pillon, ADB Chief Executive for Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland held talks with Mr. Ravshan Fayzullaev, Chairman of the Uzbek Association for Transport and Transport Communications.

Cooperation between Uzbekistan and the ADB on the transport communications area is generally directed to the railway sphere. In line with the memorandum of mutual understanding signed between Uzbekistan and the Asian Development Bank and on the basis of the ADB grant a project entitled “Development strategy of the transport sector of Uzbekistan" has been carried out.
As Mr. Patrick Pillon underscored, Uzbekistan has a highly developed road infrastructure in Central Asia. The ADB administration is keen to further expand the cooperation areas and continue the long-term partnership with this country, he said.
The ADP delegation members have also visited the Ministry of Public Education, where they learned the implementation of various joint projects in education.
