Conference on tourism and its role held In Tashkent

Uzbekistan has a great potential in the sphere of tourism. Since the republic’s independence upon the initiative of President Islam Karimov large-scale works are carried out to study the invaluable heritage of great ancestors, preserve the ancient cultural monuments and protect the unique nature of the country.

Upbringing the young generation in the spirit of respect for national values, introducing to them the tourist potential of the country, further promoting the awareness of young men and women of Uzbekistan’s history are important directions of the activities of the social movement of the youth “Kamolot”.

These issues were on the agenda of the conference on tourism and its role in cultural life organized held in Tashkent. The scholars, specialists, young researchers and representatives of the youth organizations made reports dedicated to the prospects of the further development of tourism in Uzbekistan, its role in the upbringing of the young generation, tasks of the youth organizations in engaging the young people to the sphere of tourism, introduction of modern technologies in the sphere.
