President of Uzbekistan attended the informal summit of CIS leaders

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov participated in the informal summit of the CIS leaders in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg on June 10.

CIS leaders reaffirmed their commitment to reform of the CIS. The summit gathered all twelve presidents of the CIS countries.

Islam Karimov also participated in the events of the 11th International Economic Forum in Saint Petersburg.

During his visit to Saint Petersburg President Islam Karimov met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The leaders noted the expending relations between two countries. The two sides discussed the issues of further developing the relations between two countries.

President Islam Karimov also held meeting with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguli Berdimukhamedov during which the two leaders exchanged views on the state of Uzbek-Turkmen relations, discussed the cooperation in the region and improving the economic cooperation between two countries.
