Italian Deputy FM Sees Senate Officials, Uzbek FM in Tashkent

On May 21 the delegation led by the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Italy, the Senator Gianni Vernetti has met with the Deputy Chairwoman of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Farrukha Mukhitdinova in Tashkent, the local papers reported May 22 this year.

During the talks the sides have noted that the agreements achieved at the meetings of leaders of the two countries serve as an important legal basis in developing the ties between Uzbekistan and Italy in many spheres.

Besides, the sides exchanged views on issues of cooperation between the higher legislative bodies of Uzbekistan and Italy, the current state and prospects of development of inter-parliamentary ties.

“The goal of our visit to your country is to check on the issues of further developing and strengthening the comprehensive cooperation of between countries including in political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres”, - Gianni Vernetti said while speaking to journalists.

The Italian delegation has also held negotiations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
